Match Report for SFA over 60's League -22nd May 2022
Game 1 v Stoke City
Line up : Limbrick, Moore, Cowdale, Trigger, Jackson, Whitehouse, Keates
A good controlled effort from Dynamo, making use of the wider pitch and playing well within themselves. One shot at goal from Steve Keates and a couple of good stops from Pete Limbrick in goal .
Final score 0 -0
Game No 2 v Stone Old Alleynians
Line up as above with Graham Madley on for Brian Moore
Dynamo keep up their 100% record against this club by keeping them under pressure for the full game. New man Peter Jackson scoring from a fine through ball from Steve Keates. Shots on target from Steve Keates, Alan Cowdale and Dave Whitehouse. Mike Trigger had a shot just pushed round the post near the end. Great result.
Final score: Dynamo win 1 -0
Game 3 v Walsall
Line up as above with Richard Basley on for Graham Madley
Our first game of the season against this side and a very good showing, with plenty of action.
A great save from Pete Limbrick early doors kept us with a clean sheet, while 2 goals from the boy Keates (one a real cool headed strikers tap in) gave us our highest score of the season and another 3 valuable points.
Final score: Dynamo win 2 -0
Game 4 v Chesterton
Line Up
As above , with Brian Moore on for Peter Jackson in the dying seconds of the game
Already in the early stages of the competition, there are signs of this becoming a hard fought rivalry, with no quarter being given by either side.
Pete Limbrick kept us in the match with a fine early save, and a shot on goal from Steve Keates was saved.
The referee was kept busy, but failed to pick up on a clear off the ball incident against Mike Trigger, just before a disputed goal gave Chesterton the lead, and indeed the win.
( Match officials, saw fit to speak to both team captains briefly and privately after the game )
Final score 1 - 0 to Chesterton
In summary a great afternoon for Dynamo, who are now starting to build a good record in this competition.
On to the next round, 7 points better off than round one.
